Mitch Weber on Public Education

Public Education is an important topic and issue for the entire state of Missouri, but it’s particularly important in District 13. Mitch believes we have some of the strongest public school districts in the metro, including Park Hill, Platte County R-3, and West Platte. He is committed to doing everything he can in Jefferson City to protect and increase public education funding, including teachers salaries, classroom supplies and textbooks, and high-value student activity programs.

As part of this campaign, Mitch has and will continue to personally attend public school district meetings and hear directly from administrators, educators, and parents. Mitch wants to understand exactly what needs to be done to improve performance, attendance, and to create more opportunity for our district’s students.

At the end of the day, Mitch recognizes that what most of these conversations come down to is Public Education funding. We don’t have to look much further than across state line to know what happens when a state shrugs its responsibility to properly fund its education system. With recent budget proposals from the Governor and the legislature, Missouri could be heading down a similar path.

Public Education is about educating the leaders of tomorrow, and it seeks to provide a level playing field for kids from all backgrounds and economic situations. But it’s also about economic growth and stability. We need to develop an educated workforce that wants to make a living and work in District 13, and in doing so attract businesses that want to hire them.

If we are going to do the hard work to protect and improve public education funding in the state of Missouri, Mitch is going to need your help. Please Make a Donation today and help elect Mitch to the Missouri House of Representatives for District 13.
