Meet the Candidate
Mitch Weber is a Midwest boy through and through. As a child growing up on a farm, Mitch learned the value of hard work. A strong work ethic and service to others have been driving forces throughout his life. As a broadcast journalist for the past 16 years—including stints with FOX 4, 41 Action News, and Kansas City Live—Mitch is all ears. He listens to people and learns what’s important to them.
People see Mitch as a problem-solver—someone who really listens and then finds solutions. He treats people with respect and believes that everyone should be heard. Qualities that Mitch values include honesty and integrity—he expects it from others and others can expect it from him.
Mitch takes pride in his chosen hometown of Parkville. “I like the sense of community you get from Parkville,” says Mitch. “It’s reminiscent of the quaint township where everyone knows his neighbor.” Mitch enjoys getting out and meeting people as he walks with his dog on the trails and in the parks of the city. “This community has a lot to offer,” says Mitch. He and his company, Toto TV Production, are currently producing a 30-minute tourism video featuring Parkville and Park University. “I want to show people how attractive and inviting Parkville is. I want them to see what I see.”
Mitch is running for the Missouri House of Representatives in District 13. “I want to be the person you come to when you need to be heard, and I intend to be a strong voice for you in Jefferson City.”
Service to the community includes Big Brothers Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels, the KC AIDS Walk & Ride, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Great Plains SPCA, and the Missouri Pit Bull Rescue.
Service to the business community includes BNI Parkville (a business network of which Mitch is serving his second term as president), Main Street Parkville, The Mid-America Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, and the Parkville Chamber of Commerce.
Meet the Campaign Team
As campaign manager, Eric Morey is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and coordination of the Mitch for Missouri campaign. His 20-plus years of managing people and projects as a DST executive coupled with his MBA from Washington University make Eric an effective campaign manager.

Michael Hopkins has been active in his community for years. He is serving as Fundraising Director for the campaign, but also sits on a number of community boards as well as Kansas City’s Public Health Commission. His background in marketing will help the campaign share the candidate’s vision for Missouri and connect with donors.
